Each year the Levin Center hosts a symposium on a substantive topic that brings together academics, practitioners, and law students to reflect on a public interest issue.
On January 28, 2012, the Levin Center hosted a symposium entitled Redrawing the Maps: Redistricting, Race, and Representation in the Next Decade. This symposium was co-sponsored with the Stanford Law & Policy Review (SLPR), and featured a keynote address by Angelo Ancheta, Commissioner of the California Citizens Redistricting Commission and Director of the Community Law Center at Santa Clara Law School. C-SPAN also filmed the entire symposium and links to its footage are available here.
Handouts and papers from the symposium can be found here.
