Legal Analysis for American Practice

Description

This course introduces LLM students to foundational skills necessary for law practice in the United States. These skills include legal analysis, objective and persuasive legal writing and legal research. The course offers a range of realistic legal writing and drafting problems that students complete in and out of class. Students prepare professional letters, memoranda, briefs and practice exam questions. These exercises help students learn to find and analyze the law, apply the law to new situations, and hone their legal writing, drafting and editing skills.
