International Economic Law and Policy: Current Issues

Description

This workshop, jointly hosted by the Law School and the Economics department, current work by prominent social scientists and lawyers focusing on current developments in the international trading system and other areas of international economic law and policy. Topics may include current issues in the WTO or regional trading arrangements, developments in international investment policy and competition policy, and current issues in international intellectual property. Students taking the workshop for credit may choose between the preparation of a substantial paper and the preparation of comments on the papers delivered by outside speakers. Students should expect that some of the papers will be quite technical. There is no formal prerequisite, but familiarity with undergraduate level international economics is strongly encouraged for students taking the workshop for credit.
