Law, Litigation, and Educational Policy

Description

This course explores the interplay between educational law and policy, administrative decision-making, and practice. Among the issues addressed are the relationship between schooling and the state, the nature and scope of students' substantive and procedural rights inside the schoolhouse doors, and the many meanings of equality of educational opportunity and how law and litigation have advanced or stymied the goal of equality of educational opportunity.
