Description

This course examines the theoretical foundations and common law development of the range of tort remedies designed to afford protection to the interests in personality. Defamation, the right of privacy, and intentional torts involving emotional distress and harassment receive particular attention, along with the constitutional defenses to these claims that have developed over the last thirty-five years.
