The colloquium is a weekly overview and discussion of selected issues in Law, Science, and Technology, with presentations of research and papers by faculty, visiting scholars, and outside guest speakers.
Special Instructions: This course is required for students in the Law, Science and Technology LLM program. Attendance and active participation are vital to the success of the colloquium and an important factor in the overall grade. Students are expected to have carefully read and reviewed materials in preparation for each session.
In addition, a small group of students will be assigned to be "on panel" for each meeting with the expectation that these students will have met in advance, thoroughly discussed the topic and materials, and be prepared to lead discussion and pose questions pertinent to the speaker's presentation and/or topic of focus for that session.
Each student will (individually) write a reflection paper that evaluates, critiques, and discusses some or all of the key topics reviewed in the colloquium session.
