Fourth Circuit Upholds Contempt Against Lavabit, Doesn’t Decide Gov’t Access to Encryption Keys

The Fourth Circuit did not decide whether 18 U.S.C. §§ 3124 requires disclosure of encryption keys, saying that Lavabit had waived the issue by failing to concisely raise it with the District Court.
