Title IX Today, Title IX Tomorrow: Gender Equity in College Athletics
This report by Professor Deborah Rhode with a forward by Billie Jean King emerged from a Stanford University Center on Ethics symposium that brought together those who study, enforce, and live with Title IX as it applies to intercollegiate athletics. Convened in April 2007, the event included leading researchers, coaches, athletes, government officials, policy makers, and heads of non-profit sports and women’s rights organizations. The report examines the primary challenges surrounding Title IX and the tradeoffs involved in addressing them.
