Career Services for Alumni
Services We Offer
Private Sector Counseling
OCS advisors are available throughout the year for one-on-one counseling sessions. We'll point you towards useful resources, review your resume, and work with you to develop a job hunt strategy. For a list of public interest/public sector advisors, click here.
Each week, we receive numerous job announcements from public and private sector employers nationwide who are looking for SLS alumni. These jobs are entered into our online database (Symplicity) as we receive them. If you need help with your username and password, please contact our office.
The library may be used by alumni at any time. We have numerous books on job hunting, practice areas, and alternative careers. Additionally, we have lists of alumni and employers that can be extremely useful for subsequent job searches. Our library is located inside of our office: Crown Building, Room 145.
Use of Career Services Offices at Other Law Schools
If you've moved away from the Bay Area and would like access to another law school's career resources, we'll send a letter to that school asking for reciprocity. Although we cannot guarantee that the law school will agree to our request, none have turned us down so far. Note: reciprocity is often unavailable during the fall recruiting season.
Your fellow alumni can be fantastic resources to learn more about specific practice areas, geographic markets, or even alternative careers. SLS now makes it easy for you to connect with your classmates and others through our online Alumni Directory, which includes the Alumni Career Network.
