A talk with Covington partner, and former county Democratic Party chair, Andrew Byrnes.
Mr. Byrnes represents clients with regard to intellectual property litigation and strategy, as well as in political law and high-impact pro bono matters including service as co-lead counsel in a lawsuit against Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio concerning racial profiling of Latinos during traffic stops and “immigration sweeps.” In addition to his practice, Mr. Byrnes was National Co-Chair of Lawyers for Obama in 2012, and served as Chairman of the San Mateo County Democratic Party. He founded the Peninsula Young Democrats in 1998. He is a graduate of Stanford University and Harvard Law School.
