Thinking about an exit for your company?  Come listen, learn and exchange ideas with three different perspectives in this process.  Joining us is an investment banker, a venture capitalist and a public company board member with experiences in buying and selling companies.  They will share their lessons learned and personal experiences on board dynamics, positioning companies for maximum return, and how to play the negotiations game to win.

Gunjeet Baweja is a managing director at Needham & Co. and heads up its West Coast M&A practice. Gunjeet has completed more than 75 transactions including complex M&A sell-side and buy-side advisory assignments for public and private companies. Gunjeet has transaction execution expertise and deep domain technology knowledge gained from more than 19 years of experience in investment banking and the technology industry.

Betsey Nelson has served on the board of directors for many public and private companies including Ancestry, CNET Networks, MarketLive, Nokia and SuccessFactors. Betsey was involved in the $1.6 billion sale of Ancestry to Permira, the $1.8 billion sale of CNET to CBS and the $3.4 billion sale of SuccessFactors to SAP.

Thomas Toy is a 25-year veteran venture capitalist with extensive public company board and committee experience. Tom is the co-founder and managing director of PacRim Venture Partners, a Menlo Park-based venture capital firm specializing in diversified information technology and clean technology companies. He is a venture partner/advisor for ICCP Venture Partners. Tom’s current and past companies include Hanwha SolarOne, UTStarcom, SunPower and CafePress, among others.


Kim Le is a recognized expert in internal controls, business process re-engineering and M&A integration. In addition to consulting on process efficiency, Kim counsels clients on corporate governance matters including SOX compliance. Prior to founding A2Q2 in 2003, Kim practiced public accounting at Arthur Andersen for eight years.
