James Anaya: "The Contemporary International Human Rights Movement: Outdated Trends"

The Stanford Human Rights Center is pleased to continue its high-profile speaker series "The Future of Human Rights" with a talk by Professor James Anaya, James J. Lenoir Professor of Human Rights Law and Policy, University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law, and United Nations Special Rapporteur on the Situation of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms of Indigenous Peoples.
Professor Anaya will present a critique of current trends in the human rights movement and offer suggestions for improved strategies.
