Overhauling California's Tax Policy
Professor Joseph Bankman, a leading scholar in the field of tax law, is interviewed on reforming California's tax policy on KQED radio:
If there's one thing Democrats and Republicans agree on in Sacramento, it's the need for a major reform of California's tax policy. A blue ribbon commission, with members appointed by the governor and Democratic legislative leaders, will soon release its ideas for tax reform. The proposals include plans for a flatter income tax and a new levy on business receipts to replace the current sales and corporate taxes.
