Mercury News coverage of the felony charges against four defendants in Hewlett-Packard spying case calls the dismissal against former chairwoman Patricia Dunn and a deal to clear her three co-defendants of legal wrongdoing an "elaborate legal dance". Professor Robert Weisberg, director of the Criminal Justice Center, is quoted:

The deal was "very unusual," said Stanford University law Professor Bob Weisberg. "Here, they're kind of making it up as they go along," he said, calling it a fair resolution.
